As a young child, Tori exhibited an interest in art, and a talent for drawing. Years of work, and raising children kept her from developing her talent or exploring her potential as an artist. Starting in 2008, with the encouragement and support of her children, and husband she began taking lessons with an accomplished local artist, Donovan Sparhawk. In very short order, was drawing her children and grandchildren, and amazing everyone with her talent.
Tori Kerr was born in Lubbock Texas, and grew up in Big Spring, Abilene and Burleson, graduating high school in Houston Texas. A year later she married her best friend and confidant, Royse Kerr in Albuquerque New Mexico. After living in Albuquerque a short while, they moved to Lubbock Texas, back to Tori's birthplace and the place she calls home. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Abilene. She was determined to put down roots after moving every two years for most of her life. Tori has resided in Abilene since 1980, where she and her husband raised their two children. A dedicated public servant, Tori has worked for the state of Texas for nearly twenty years.
Tori is eagerly anticipating retirement, when she will be able to devote all of her attention to her art and grandchildren.
